At Northside Garage Doors our objective is to be upfront with our customers. So as a courtesy, we would like to share our garage door repair pricing with you. Most
garage door repairs probably fall in one of the categories below.
Q. I press the button inside the garage or my remote control, the door goes up a little ways and stops?
A. Usually this means that the door may have a broken spring. This makes the door very heavy, the electric opener is made to sense this and shut off automatically.. We suggest that you do not try and operate the door until repairs have been performed. Cost Single door with only one spring... $142.20 Double wide door with both springs replaced... $ 206.40
Q. My door goes up part way, or sometimes all the way up but is not straight in the opening?
A. Usually this means that the door has a cable off track or the cable is broken. Doors can sometimes by so crooked that it damages the tracks. We suggest you do not try and operate the door until repairs have been performed. Cost One cable replaced... $ 99.40 Both cables replaced... $ 120.80
Q. My door is making a grinding sound and does not move smoothly?
A. Usually this means that the door has worn rollers. In some cases the actual wheel falls apart from the shaft and allows the roller to fall apart. We suggest that all the rollers be replaced. Usually there are a total of 10. We suggest that you do not try and operate the door until repairs have been performed. Cost Replace all 10 rollers with Teflon coated, commercial grade 11B... $ 142.20.
Q. I press the button in the garage and my remote control. I can hear the motor run in the electric opener, but the door does not move smoothly or not at all?
A. Usually this means that the drive gear in the electric opener is stripped, not allowing the drive assembly attached to the door to move. Wesuggest, that you do not try and operate the door. This will cause the motor to overheat and cause more damage. If possible, unplug or turn the power off to the opener. Cost Replace the drive gear in most brands... $ 142.20
